PRESS RELEASE - The Northern Zone Under 23 Competition continued on Sunday 9th November with 2 games at the Sab Sporting facility at Vigie. The following were the scores:
The 1st game saw Sun Risers FA vs Dominators FC.
At the end of the 1st half the score was 1-0 in favour of Sun Risers with a goal from Craig Helidou in the 35th minute.
At the start of the 2nd half Craig Helidou scored another goal for Sun Risers FA in the 46th minutes taking the lead 2-0. Dominators FC came out and equalised with 2 goals from Kerry Preville in the 72nd minutes and a goal from Ervin Isidore in the 73rd minutes.
Sun Risers however took the lead in the 85th minutes with a goal from Daleel Hollingsworth in the 85th minutes and the game ended 3-2 in favour of Sun Risers FA.
The 2nd game saw GMC vs FC Pioneers.
At the end of the 1st half the score was 0-0. The 2nd half kicked off with the 1st goal from Fernius Felix of FC Pioneers in the 67th minutes and GMC equalized one minute later with a goal from Brendon Defratuis in the 68th minutes.
GMC took the lead with another goal from Tomuis Simon in the 73rd minutes but FC Pioneers equalized with a goal from Jonai Ferguson in the 76th minutes. At the end of the game the score was a draw ending 2-2.
Unfortunately due to the heavy rains on Saturday the games schedule for the Sab Playing Field in the Competition had to be cancelled and will be rescheduled.
The next games in the Northern Zone Under 23 Competition will be played on Wednesday 12th November at the Gros Islet Playing field with Nyah coming up against VSADC at 5.00 p.m. and Valley Soccer Club aganist Flow Lancers FC at 7.00 p.m.
